But again the cabinet is the obstacle why this bill got rejected. What was wrong in the bill..?? Being more accountable..?? Making all the authorities included in RTI..?? Not letting people aged above 70 run the board who are supposed to retire..?? Or not including 25% sportsmen in the board..?? Wher is the govt. heading..?? Just because most of the ministers in the cabinet like Shard Pawar, Farooq Abdullah or Praful Patel are heading the boards..?? Why is BCCI so scared and adamant on not including itself in RTI..?? BCCI says all the accounts and balace sheets are put up for public in their website. Then why so scared..?? If the board is so transparent, what was the IPL fiasco..?? Don't the people have the right to know where the money to the board is coming from?
Not only the BCCI, there are many other associations which are against it. We have to wait and see how much of our money is being eaten away by these. Remember someone saying - "YELLARU KALLARE". Hope that the sports bill is passed away with minimum changes keeping in accountability and transparency.
